Reservation Holders Meet for Golf Outing in McCall

Last weekend, the Alpine Village sales and development team hosted another reservation holder event in McCall at Jug Mountain Ranch Golf Course. After a round of 18 holes with three of our guests, including award-winning JMR course designer and reservation holder Don Knott, we met up with eight more attendees at the Jug’s new clubhouse for drinks and appetizers. The setting couldn’t have been nicer on the outdoor patio - with beautiful blue skies overhead and 180 degree views of the surrounding mountains. Thanks to all who attended, and stay tuned for more events in the second half of 2008.

For more information on our reservation holder program, please give us a call at 888-634-3430 or visit alpinevillagemccall.com/contact.

Start of Summer Update

Summer has officially arrived and the season of fun McCall activities is in full swing. In the midst of budding flowers and the bevies of boats cruising across Payette Lake, the town is abuzz with all things summer. McCall recreation this time of year features many outdoor activities such as biking, boating, hiking and even mushroom-picking. Searching for gourmet morel mushrooms has become a favorite local pastime and this year McCall is teeming with them.

Warmer weather has also brought many changes for Alpine Village. Phase One is quickly taking shape and the transformation is amazing. We have begun attractive street improvements in front of the sales office, which will include landscaping and new sidewalks. Please come by the office at 3rd Street/Hwy 55 and Washington to see the scale model of the entire project’s planned streetscape.

First Photos of Alpine Village Vertical Construction

Alpine Village has officially gone vertical this week! Steel is being erected for the first floor, with wood framing soon to follow for the upper floors. Have a look at the images below to see the first building taking shape.

We have also made some changes to our on-site information and design center. It has been freshly painted in a warm green and beige color scheme that is similar to the exteriors of the future buildings. New signs have been hung on the building and, with the snow behind us, we look forward to planting flowers and doing some landscaping in the coming weeks.

If you are coming to McCall for Memorial Day Weekend, stop by for a visit and learn more about this mixed use development that is redefining downtown living.

McCall: A Town for All Seasons

Construction continues on the first phase of Alpine Village, which should be going vertical by the end of May – with the first steel shipment arriving by mid-month, and framing to begin immediately thereafter. Soon curious enthusiasts will be able to monitor progress on the project via a construction-site web cam!

On the recreational front, Brundage Mountain, for the first time ever, has extended its season into the month of May! Brundage says that it is inches away from breaking its all-time record for seasonal snowfall. According to the website, the official record was set in the winter of 1998/1999, when 430 inches of snow fell on the mountain. Right now, the running total is 422 inches. That makes this the second snowiest winter on record!

Although winter play continues to thrive, McCall’s spring/summer season is beginning to take shape with a variety of upcoming warm weather events. Tamarack’s award-winning golf course is set to open on Memorial Day weekend, along with all of its other fun summer activities, including last year’s addition: the zip line tour.

Jug Mountain Ranch will be celebrating the outdoors with a women’s fly fishing clinic on May 16-17 and June 6-7. The clinics, hosted by local experts Ron Howell and Patrick Harper, will take place in the water holes on JMR’s golf course, where plenty of rainbow trout have been stocked for the fabulous fly fishing jaunt.

However, if you prefer to stay inside, Shanti Yoga Studio is offering a series of free community yoga classes, called the Yoga Jubilee, on May 3. The classes run all day and are appropriate for all levels – a perfect way to start off your summer workout.

Last but not least, keep on lookout for an assortment of Alpine Village summer activities, including Payette Lake sunset cruises, golf outings at JMR, and guided morel mushroom-picking hikes at Ponderosa Park. Keep an eye on our Event Calendar for more information on all upcoming events throughout the year.

Alpine Village Construction Update - As Spring Blooms, Construction Resumes

Construction has resumed on Phase One at Alpine Village in McCall.  After digging out from our heavy snow year, our crew is currently focusing on finishing the foundation of our first building, tentatively named the "Fire Tower Building".  2008 will be a very busy construction year with a focus on completing:

  • The event-friendly plaza
  • Fire Tower Building
  • Associated parking
  • Landscape improvements

We are scheduled for completion of this first phase in late spring of 2009.  Our general contractor, CRB LLC is working diligently with the design team of CTA Architects – Engineers and Epikos Planning & Design to finalize and coordinate this year's projects.

Our Sales & Marketing team is working closely with prospective condominium owners and retail tenants to keep them up to date on the latest plans and schedules.  We expect to have our first retail tenant commitments ready to announce this summer.  And we are very excited about the amount of early interest in condominium ownership at Alpine Village.

Also, check back frequently for announcements on our great upcoming summer events.  We have identified a number of classic McCall experiences - from lake cruises to morel mushroom picking - to offer our visitors and prospective owners at Alpine Village.

We look forward to seeing you in McCall soon.
